Parameter CRI
The unit CRI is indicated in samples as Ra—average Rendering score = average color rendering score. It ranges from 0 to 100, representing the percentage of wavelengths of sunlight in artificial lighting.
Explanation of CRI
The Color Rendering Index (CRI) measures the similarity of the color rendition of artificial lighting to that of sunlight. The higher the CRI, the more realistic colors appear under the lighting.
CRI is closely related to the color of the light. It is most prominent in the spectrum of 4000-5500K, which is referred to as neutral white light. Generally, the higher the CRI, the lower the luminous flux of the lighting fixture. A high color rendering index is required in any situation where the most accurate representation of colors is expected.
