CRI
CRI stands for Color Rendering Index. This parameter is primarily found when purchasing a specific light fixture. The index is measured on a scale from 0 to 100, indicating the percentage of accurate color representation under a particular light source for the human eye. Natural sunlight has a CRI of 100, meaning that during a sunny day, we see the colors of objects as they truly are. Do you remember how everything appeared orange under old street lights? That's because they had a low CRI value.
Color Rendering Index
In Slovak, this parameter is referred to as the "Index podania farieb." Currently, modern LED lighting for both indoor and outdoor use boasts a very high color rendering index, often exceeding 99.9. Even with a CRI value around 90, the colors of objects appear very true to our eyes. The highest CRI values are found in cool white LED lights.
