10th Annual | National Community Directors’ Forum

International Conference in the Heart of Bratislava

In September 2025, Bratislava hosted the 10th annual World Jewish Congress (WJC) – National Community Directors’ Forum, which brought together over 75 representatives of Jewish communities from 50 countries worldwide. The aim of the event was to discuss strategies for combating rising antisemitism and other challenges faced by Jewish communities on a global scale.

The forum’s program took place across several venues, including the Grand Hotel River Park and the FACH restaurant, and consisted of a variety of segments – from working meetings and conference panels to accompanying evening events. During the cocktail reception at FACH, Juraj Droba, Governor of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region, also delivered a speech

A comprehensive “hi-end” service for the WJC Forum:

Hurricane provided complex technical and production service throughout the entire event. Since the program took place across multiple locations and included parallel sessions, this project required precise logistical planning, detailed project management, and seamless coordination of all teams – from production and technical equipment up to the communication with the internal AV team on client´s side, who was in charge of approving every single technical device that was used

Interesting fact : Already in the preparation phase, it was necessary to comply with the WJC’s internal procurement system and use their international public tender platform, which required meticulous administration and a fully transparent approval process for all deliveries.

Safety standards and technical support 24/7

All implemented solutions had to meet international safety regulations and standards applicable to event organization at the European level. Hurricane provided 24/7 technical and production support throughout the entire duration of the forum, ensuring the smooth execution of every part of the event.

Implementation of individual program segments:

  • Secretariat and Registration – Grand Hotel River Park

Based on the client's request, we converted one of the hotel's “meeting rooms” into a remote office equipped with computers, printers, television and high-speed internet, which served as an administrative backup and back office (secretariat) for the organizing team throughout the duration of the Forum. The foyer in front of the conference hall was transformed into a registration zone, which included a registration desk and a Content Wall, which visually followed the branding of the whole event. The zone was supplemented with vertically positioned LCD screen and an additional LCD monitor for online communication, thus linking offline and digital elements within the unified visual concept of the WJC.

  • Directors´ Forum – Maria Theresia Ballroom

The main part of the congress took place in the hotel’s largest conference hall, which we equipped with state-of-the-art conference technology. In the center of the hall, we set up a central media point – a technological hub for capturing and displaying content – consisting of Panasonic PTZ cameras, iPads with timers, and surrounding LCD screens and monitors displaying online contributions and shared speaker sessions. The technical setup was complemented by a Meyer Sound audio system and BOSCH conference microphones.

  • Opening Dinner – Grand Hotel River Park

The dinner was fully supported from a technical standpoint – from sound to atmospheric lights, which helped create a representative yet intimate setting for the forum’s opening evening.

  • Cocktail – reštaurácia FACH

The cocktail followed the conference part with a more relaxed atmosphere. The space was technically and visually tailored to the social nature of the evening, with Hurricane using battery-powered LED bars to decoratively light the interior, creating an elegant and visually unified lighting scene.

  • Holocaust and Racial Violence Remembrance Day Ceremony – Rybničné námestie

The forum participants wew also invited and attended a commemorative ceremony at Rybničné Square in Bratislava, held on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Holocaust and Racial Violence in Slovakia. Our team provided the client with a complete video recording of the entire event
