Crystal Wing ´21

The 25th anniversary carried many different emotions. Once again, we had the honor of providing complete technical support for the live broadcast of the prestigious Crystal Wing Awards. The gala evening took place in the New Building of the Slovak National Theatre, celebrating 25 years since the event's inception. This year, the Crystal Wing Foundation decided to join the initiative Together for Ukraine and called for public donations to provide humanitarian aid for war refugees. Our three opera singers opened the gala with a joint opera performance titled 'The Divas Dance.' The festive atmosphere throughout the evening was ensured by the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Adrian Kokoš. Other musical performers included Emma Drobná, Adam Ďurica, Superstar winner Adam Pavlovčin, Monika Bagárová, and violinist Michal Noga. The special Crystal Wing award for 2021 was presented to motorcycle racer Štefan Svitko.

Now, for our technical highlights: we provided sound using the Meyer Sound Leopard system, and our team operated Midas and Yamaha mixing consoles. The stage and the constantly changing background were created with LED screens totaling nearly 150 m². All footage was used in 8K resolution, and the entire communication between the media servers and LED screens was set up using fiber optics. We installed the largest lighting setup consisting of 84 moving heads. This large lighting setup included several types of Robe moving heads—Esprite, Spiider, Pointe, LEDBeam, and LEDWash. For an Oscar-worthy look, we used 40 Sunstrip lights. The entire system was controlled by GMA2 lighting consoles. We are thrilled to have been part of this grand show and to have created another memorable event. We are already looking forward to the next edition.
