Boris Brejcha

One of the most sought-after DJs in the world was once again in Slovakia, and the Hurricane team had the honor of being part of the preparation. German DJ Boris Brejcha, known for performing in a Venetian carnival mask, is a pioneer of the high-tech minimal genre, beloved by fans worldwide. With successful shows and sold-out venues around the globe, he's particularly recognized from the Tomorrowland electronic music festival in Belgium. The Bratislava Incheba was sold out, and we had been preparing for this day for several weeks.

We collaborated closely with the client on the stage design, bringing their ideas to life using visualization software Capture before our technicians executed the setup in Incheba. Attendees enjoyed an electronic mix through a precisely designed Meyer Sound system, featuring 72 top-of-the-line LEO speakers, including DJ monitors MJF210 and 900LFC. The lighting setup was nothing short of what you'd find at major festivals, comprising 116 moving heads—predominantly from Robe—along with pixel LED bars from Cameo and Martin Atomic LED strobes. These lights were arranged on horizontal structures above the VIP stage, with large aluminum frameworks in the center of the scene.

No such show is complete without lasers, CO2 effects, and pyrotechnics. All effects were synchronized to the music's rhythm using MA Lighting GMA 2 control desks. The VIP zone around Boris Brejcha at the main stage was designed to provide guests with a direct view of the DJ and his mixing table, while also allowing them to see the audience of fellow fans. Prioritizing safety, we opted for a Layher construction system instead of traditional legs for the stage, ensuring maximum stability even with 300 dancing people on the VIP platform. We were once again part of a fantastic show with an incredible atmosphere, creating an unforgettable OCCASION!
