“Touch of God” Event | DJ KOROLOVA

Dance parties have in recent years often taken place in interesting locations such as historic buildings or landmarks. This specific type of event requires weather-resistant equipment that is properly and safely installed. 

Client requested the creation of a party venue in the courtyard of Bratislava Castle with perfect sound, large cascading tribunes, and a VIP stage surrounding the DJ — all supported by dynamic lighting and large LED screens for a visual experience.

The sound system was entirely based on the MeyerSound brand. We used the Leopard system, complemented by smaller UPQ and X-40 speakers to provide sound coverage for the VIP areas and the back parts of the courtyard. The DJ's monitor setup consisted of an MJF-210 monitor and an LFC-900 subwoofer. All the speakers were tuned using a measurement microphone and SMART software. Since the entire portfolio of MeyerSound speakers has an IP rating for rain protection, we didn’t need to build any roofing over the speakers that would obstruct the view of Bratislava Castle.

The backbone of the stage consisted of our heavy-duty structures, which allowed us to build a ground support system up to 24 meters wide. This structure was capable of supporting tons of technical equipment. The LED screens were built in two layers. The front layer consisted of strips of semi-transparent mesh screens — to reduce weight and allow light beams to pass through the image. In the center of the stage, we placed a diamond-shaped LED screen, which displayed custom graphics themed to the event. The rear LED screens were rectangular, spanning the full height of the stage. The space between the screens was filled with artificial plants, illuminated from below using LED bars.

The dominant lighting elements were a IP 65 rated moving heads from Cameo and powerful IP65-rated strobes from Roxx. We lit up the castle premises with Astera battery-powered light tubes. The entire show was controlled using MA3 lighting consoles.

The sold-out party had a great atmosphere. Positive feedback came not only from people who came to have fun, but also from DJ Korolova herself, who really appreciated the technical setup and the sound quality.
