Ibiza Party at Motel Kamenec: Sand, Beats, and Tech That Withstood Adverse Weather

The third summer event in a row brought the unmistakable atmosphere of the party island to Motel Kamenec— Ibiza Party, a two-day dance event packed with top Slovak DJ names. This year’s edition was all about striking visuals, state-of-the-art sound, and a hefty dose of sand: 200 tons were brought in to create a unique dance area with a true summer vibe.

In addition to the main stage—which, as in previous events, was powered by our trusted Meyer Sound speakers—we also provided full sound reinforcement for the second stage. For this, we deployed the flagship VIO line array system from Italian manufacturer dBTechnologies, delivering powerful, crystal-clear sound even under challenging outdoor conditions.

The basic visual element was a nearly two-ton object suspended directly above the dancers. Its design carried a Gloshine outdoor LED screen, powerful Cameo OTOS W6 lights a pixel bars FOS. Thanks to the symmetrical design, the object looked dominant from every side, both from the audience's point of view and from the side of the stage. On top of it were 16 pieces of PAR 64 reflectors, which added an impressive visual effect, especially during drone shots from the height. Main stage was complemented by a wide-format LED screen Absen A3pro, divided into two panoramic areas with dimensions of 8×2 m and 8×2.5 m. The lighting design consisted of linear „batteries”, on which we placed 8 pieces of lights of the same model each time, thus achieving a layered light space. We used a technique Robe Pointe, LEDbeam 150, Spiider a Cameo Pixbar 650pro. The effect of the performers' silhouettes is accentuated by a sufficiently powerful rear light Robe Esprite.

Despite a four-hour downpour on Saturday night, the entire production ran without any technical issues. Thanks to the use of outdoor-rated lighting fixtures and meticulous waterproofing of all electrical components, the technology remained fully operational throughout the event.
