It all began with Marketingovica.

Two members of team Hurricane met with the Digital University (DU) together with the Digital Marketing Club (DMC).

So, how did we actually establish cooperation?

We noticed that the technology on Marketingovica, which was placed in Bratislava's Luna bar, was not sufficient. We noticed it, for example, when the text of the evening program was running over the head of stand-up comedian Gabo Žifčák. It was because of the cheap projection screen and we knew then that this was not an ideal advertisement for Jaro (owner of DU and DMC) and all the marketing enthusiasts. Hence we approached him with the idea of technically improving all the events that will be created in the near future.

On April the 25th 2023, a conference called Make it Digital was held at the Tatra Hotel in Bratislava. Despite the lack of technicians together with the workload we felt in this last week of April, we technically secured the promised conference. In cooperation with the students of the Digital University, with whom it was our first cooperation, we provided the streaming of the conference, recording through our cameras as well as suitable lights were provided. For both parties, we can evaluate that the first event was primarly about getting to know each other and about listening to the demands of one or the other party.

On May the 11th, two weeks later, new challenge awaited us – Maretingovica (the largest networking party for marketers in Slovakia). Technically, we wanted to take this event to a higher level, so instead of a screen, we put a LED screen on the stage and added a better sound system. Many students, teachers, but also marketers and promoters from various agencies took part in the marketing event. The program was built on diversity – from debates with the so-called „Sexual education“ through various competitions in which all guests could participate, up to a stand-up performance by Joe Trendy and band Let´s roll, which made everyone dance. The dancing continued until the early morning with Jaro behind the DJ desk for some time. Apart from work, we had a lot fun and we are already looking forward to the fall Marketingovica.

On June the 6th, the third collaboration was yet another conference in Hotel Tatra, this time titled the Positive Leadership Conference. Hurricane was yet again the exclusive technical supplier and one of the main partners at the same time. This time as well, the conference required streaming – through our platform, together with lights and a camera broadcast. In addition to work, we learned a lot of new interesting pieces of knowledge from the present speakers.

Summer is the time for students to rest and enjoy holidays, therefore we will continue further cooperation in the fall.

Great thank you belongs to Digital University and Digital Marketing Club for the cooperation and new friendships so far, and we look forward to new events you will prepare for us.
